One of the top reels that I have come across is the Baitcast reel from Browning as well. As a bait fisher, I need a reel which has smooth action and can be adjusted precisely to help me match the water conditions I am fishing in. There is nothing worse than having your reel not adjusted properly and seeing a good cast turn into one that binds you up in weeds or worse. So many lures have been lost that being able to more precisely control your casts is definitely going to save you time and money like it did for me. The Citori Baitcast reel is a good one. It is not too heavy since it is made from a one-piece aluminum frame with a spool which has been perforated. This does not minimize strength but it does help keep the weight at a minimum. I absolutely love the fact that it has a side plate which can be taken off in order to make maintenance so much easier. As well, the magnetic casting system allows me to adjust it in one of ten different settings. Very few reels will actually give you the level of control over your casts that the Baitcast reel gives you. If you are not as interested in lightweight rods and reels, you will be happy to know that the Browning line has you covered for heavier fish as well. Whether it is largemouth, smallmouth or other game fish, the Browning fishing rods and reels will have a model that is right for you.
