Blood Knot - A Solid Fishing KnotThe Blood Knot is a very good fishing knot for tying two pieces of similar diameter line together. It is great to use instead of a swivel because the knot will not spook the fish (unlike a swivel or leader). Plus there is less chance of doing damage to the guides on your rod (which happens more often on the cast than on the retrieve).
Tighten the knot by pulling the lines tight. It may help to moisten both knots as they slide together. Basically, you will have tied two simple clinch knots back to back in reverse directions. Trim the ends, leaving about 1/8 of a inch. And there you have it!! Thanks for reading. Good Fishing.
